The Topeka Daily Capital Sunday March 5, 1961 Elva E. Kenna Is Dead at 76; Rites Tuesday. Mrs. Elva E. KENNA, 76, 1617 Randolph, wife of Dr. Alpha H. Kenna, former pastor of the Lowman Methodist Church, died Saturday in a Topeka hospital. She contributed to the field of organ and piano for more than 50 years. She majored in those subjects at Oberlin Conservatory. Born Feb. 27, 1885, at Upland, Ind., she was a member of the First Methodist Church, WSCS, Kiwanitas and Beulah Chapter No. 34 Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors in addition to her widower at home are a son, Harold F. Kenna of Chicago; two daughters, Mrs. Richard M. WHITE of Grangeville, Idaho, and Mrs. Hilton HODGES, 1534 MacVicar; one brother, Kemp K. DEAREN of Toledo, Ohio; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Penwell0Gabel Chapel with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery.
