The Topeka Daily Capital Wednesday June 14, 1939 Joseph Raine. Joseph RAINE, 75, died Tuesday at his home in Maplehill. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, came to Kansas with his parents at the age of six, and settled on a farm at Wells Creek. Later they moved to Maplehill where he spent the rest of his life. Mr. and Mrs. RAINE celebrated their golden anniversary three years ago. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Addie RAINE of the home; three sons, Lee, Lester and Francis RAINE; two daughters, Mrs. Jessie ARNOLD, all of Maplehill and Mrs. Annee SANDER of Alma; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Stone Church in Maplehill. The body will lie in state at the home until the funeral hour.
