    3. The Topeka Daily Capital Saturday November 10, 1951 Joseph Gardner. Joseph GARDNER, 55, boiler fireman at the Forbes Air Force Base, died unexpectedly Friday morning in his boiler room at the base from a heart attack. He was born February 3, 1896, in Richland and was a lifelong resident of that community. He engaged in farming until nine years ago when he became a fireman at the air base. He was a member of the Richland Evagnelical-United Brethren Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Katherine Gardner of the home; a son, Francis Gardner of the home; and a sister, Mrs. Walter Tevis, Route 8. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Richland Evangelical-United Brethren Church, with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
