The Topeka Daily Capital Friday March 28, 1958 Herman A. Hastings. Herman A. HASTINGS, 60, of Newton, died Thursday in a Topeka hospital. He had been a Santa Fe employee at Newton for 14 years and was a member of the Eagles, IOOF and Rebekah Lodges of Newton. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Pearl HASTINGS, of the home; six sons, Norman L., Herman A. Jr., Warren J., Billy J., Jack K., and Stephen H. Hastings, all of Wichita; a daughter, Mrs. Sadie M. CLINGERMAN, WIchita; four stepsons, David T. and Albert R. JACKSON, both of Newton; Wesley J. JACKSON, Oklahoma City, Okla.; and Charles E. JACKSON, Oakland, Calif.; and five stepdaughters, Mrs. Clara ADAMS, Manitous, Okla.; Mrs. Faye ADAMS, Modesto, Calif.; Mrs. Mary COLLAN, Richmond, Calif.; Ann EASTER, Haysville, Kan., and Mrs. Beatrice FRISEN, Newton. Penwell-Gabel Funeral home is in charge of local arrangements. The Moody Funeral Home of Newton will have charge of the arrangements at Newton.
