The Topeka Daily Capital Sunday January 6, 1952 D.T. Torrens A former Topekan, D.T. TORRENS, 78, died Saturday afternoon at his home in Kansas City, Mo. Torrens was assiciated withe Davis-Welcome Mortgage Company here for many years. He later became president of the Kansas City Life Insurance Company, and then chairman of t company's board of directors. He had been retired for the past few years. While in Topeka, Torrens was a Potwin resident. Mrs. Torrens died four years ago and is buried here. There were no children but one of the survivors is Paul EDGAR, Topeka, a nephew. The funeral is expected to be Tuesday morning with burial in Topeka.
