Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Wall-Diffenderfer Chapel for John Clarence WEEKES, 79, 2631 Kentucky, who died in a hospital here Thursday morning. Graveside services will be conducted in Memorial Park Cemetery by Siloam Lodge No. 225, AF&AM. Mr. Weekes was born in Wabaunsee County, April 10, 1881. He lived here more than 60 years and retired from the Santa Fe Railway in 1948. He was a member of the Highland Park Methodist Church, Siloam Lodge, Topeka Consistory, Scottish Rite bodies and Arab Shrine. Suriving are his widow, Mrs. Kate WEEKES of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Hazel BRUCE, 1131 Plass, and Mrs. Ruby BENSON of Denver; a brother, Howard WEEKES, 2416 Beverly Court; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel LINEBERGER of Harveyville, Kans., and Mrs. Eunice FITCH of Springfield, Mo.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
