    3. The Topeka Daily Capital Wednesday October 5, 1960 Ezekiel Ridley. Word has been received here of the death Tuesday in Los Angeles of Ezekiel RIDLEY, 87, a former Topeka who taught 46 years at Washington School before his retirement in 1941. Mr. RIDLEY was born in 1873, in Smyrna, Tenn., and came with his parents to a farm near Oakland in abouu1879. He began teaching in the Topeka public school system in 1892 at Washington. He was appointed principal of Madison School in about 1918 and as transferred to McKinley School as principal the same year. After four months at McKinley he went to Washington where he taught until his retirement. Mr. RIDLEY was a former member and trustee of the St. Johns A.M.E. Church. He was a former member of the Abassador club; the YMCA; and the Topeka chapter of the NAACP. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Venola HILL of Los Angeles and Mrs. Hortense TATE of Montclair, N.J.; and a sister, Mrs. Sally GREER of Hennessey, Okla. Serivces and burial will be Saturday in Los Angeles.
