The Topeka Daily Capital Sunday March 5, 1961 Leona Carlin Dies at Age 93. Mrs. Leona CARLIN, 93, of Hoty, a resident there since 1910, died Saturday in a Topeka hospital. She was born April 16, 1867, at Marcelius, France and was a worker in the WSCS of the Hoyt Methodist Church. Surviving are four sons, Ed Carlin, Mayetta, Harley Carlin, 639 Strait, Lee Carlin of Kansas City and Elmer Carlin of Phoenix, Ariz.; three daughters, Mrs. Emma BIRT, 1114 Oakland, Mrs. Alice ERWIN of Hoyt, and Mrs. Letta WYKERT, 920 Oakland; 14 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Hoyt Methodist Church with burial in the city cemetery. Davidson-Eslinger-Duff Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
