The Topeka Daily Capital Thursday February 28, 1952 Mrs. Carrie Butner Dies; Lived in County 61 Years. Mrs. Carrie Ellen BUTNER, 82, resident of Shawnee County for almost 61 years, died Wednesday morning in a Topeka hospital. She was born April 10, 1869 in Aurora, Ill., and settled on a farm near Dover shortly after her marriage to W.D. Butner, March 11, 1891. She was a member of the Seabrook Congregational Church. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Julia RAHBERG, La Center, Ky.; five sons, Jesse Butner, Dover, Vern Butner, Herrington, Curtis, Roscoe and Charles Butner, all of Topeka, 20 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary with burial in Dover Cemetery.
