The Topeka Daily Capital. Saturday February 9, 1952 John W. Carson. John W. CARSON, 79, died Friday at his home, 1171 High. He was born January 26, 1873, in Chillicothe, Ill., and ahd been a resident of Topeka 37 years. He and his wife celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary January 28. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Margaret M. Carson, of the home; four daughters, Mrs. Margaret FLETCHER, Mrs. Pearl V. KIOUS, Mrs. Alice J. McCONNEL and Mrs. E. May STRATTON, all of Topeka; and five sons, Thomas J. Carson, WInfield; George W. Carson, Chula Vista, Calif.; Lloyd Carson, Sioux Falls, S.D.; Philip A. and Forrest O. Carson, both of Topeka. The funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery.
