The Topeka Daily Capital Saturday May 3, 1951 Mrs. Gertrude B. Phelps. Mrs. Gertrude B. PHELPS, 76, died Friday at her home, 623 Quincy. She was born July 11, 1873, in Colchester, Ill., and moved to Topeka in 1912 from Nebraska. She was employed at the Topeka State Hospital for 16 years. She was a member of the West Side Christian Church. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Emma BURCH, Topeka; a granddaughter, Mrs. Donna Lee CORBETT, Route 7; and two sisters in Canada.
