The Topeka Daily Capital Monday May 1, 1961 James Cooper Dies At Age 48. James COOPER, 48, of 226 Jefferson, was dead on arrival at a local hospital after suffering a stroke while driving to Maple City. Born in Sedalia, Mo., Mr. Cooper lived in Topeka since 1936. He was a contractor and veteran of World War II. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Selmar Cooper at home; three sisters, Mrs. Stella MOLKEY of Sedalia, Mrs. Marie BROWN of Stockton, Calif., and Mrs. Peral JOHNSON of Kansas City, Kan., and a brother Frank Cooper of Sadalia. Bowser Mortuary will announce services.
