The Topeka Daily Capital Wednesday January 17, 1951 Mrs. Herve Kanode. Mrs. Mary M. KANODE, 85, died Tuesday at her homne, 2020 Lane. She was born in Pennsylvania, November 22, 1865, and had lived in Topeka since 1908, coming here from Chester, Neb. She was a member of First Wesleyan Methodist Church and WCTU. She was the wife of the late Herve Kanode. She leaves four daughters, Mrs. Mary WRIGHT of Perry, Mrs. Alice PATTERSON of Topeka and Miss Marguerite Kanode and Mrs. Vera JOHNSON of the home; four sons, Lynn of the home; Lester of Topeka, Ralph of El Segundo, Calif., and Ernest of Lawrence; one sister, Miss Margaret HAMPE of Tulsa; three brothers, the rev. Daniel HAMPE of Akron, Ohio, Charles H. Hampe of Sandusky, Ohio, and WIlliam G. Hampe of Tacoma, Wash.; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
