The Topeka Daily Capital Wednesday February 1, 1961 Martin Moore Dies at Age 79; Rites Pending. Martin A. MOORE, 79, 1428 Buchanan, died Tuesday at a local hospital. He was born Jan. 17, 1882, in New Albany, Ind., and came to Topeka in 1907. He was a clerk in the Freight Auditing Dept. of the Santa Fe Railway offices for 51 years. Mr. Moore was a member of the Holy Name Church and Brotherhood of Railway Clerks. His wife, Mrs. Florence Moore, died Mary 11, 1960. Survivors include one son, Edward K. Moore of the home; four daughters, Mrs. mary McNaughton of Mascoutah, Ill., Miss Helen Moore of Houston, Tex., Mrs. Patricia Day, 1303 W. 19th, and Mrs. Gene Killinger, 2537 Hillcrest, and eight grandchildren. Brennan Funeral Home will announce arrangements.
