The Topeka Daily Capital Thursday March 2, 1961 Former Household Editor Dies at 72. Services for the former editor of Household Magazine, Mrs. Ida Rigney Migliario, 72, 1317 Clay, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary. She died Tuesday in a local hospital. Services as field editor of Capper Farm Press, she became home economics editor of Capper Farm Press in 1920 and editor of Household Magazine in 1925. She retired in 1960. Born June 8, 1888, at Zeandale, she was reared in Manhattan and received her B.S. degree in home economics at Kansas State in 1909. She was dietitian in Ensworth Hospital at St. Joseph, Mo.; until 1910 and supervisor of home economics for schools in Wichita until 1911. She was an honorary member of Omicron Nu (home economis), Theta Sigma Phi (journalism) and Phi Kappa Phi (education). Surviving are a sister-in-law, Mrs. Alvin Rigney of Pasadena, Calif.; three nieces and two nephews and a friend and companion for 16 years, Mrs. Dorothy Watson, at home. Burial will be in Topeka Cemetery. She will lie in state at the mortuary until service time. The family request that contributions be made to heart or cancer funds.
