The Topeka Daily Capital Thursday January 3, 1952 Mrs. Mary McElroy. Mrs. Mary McElroy, 79, Route 8, died Tuesday night from a heart attack shortly after her arrival at a Topeka hospital. She was born June 4, 1872, in Iowa and spent most of her life at Quinter, Kan. She moved to Topeka three years ago and was a member of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of this city. She and her husband J. J. McElroy, would have observed their 50th wedding anniversary Friday. Besides her husband, she is survived by four daughters, Miss Elizabeth McElroy, Latikia, Syria; Mrs. Frank Armbruster, Wakeeney, Kan.; Mrs. Roy Mathews, Hemet, Calif., and Mrs. Grady Stegall, Route 8; two sons, W.A. McElroy, Route 8, and the Rev. J. E. McElroy, Morning Sun, Iowa; 12 grandchildren; and a brother, Alfred Alexander, Orlando, Fla. The funeral will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and at 1 p.m. Friday at the Reformed Presbyterian Church in Quinter. Burial will be in Quinter Cemetery.
