The Topeka Daily Capital Friday January 12, 1951 Frank E. Welchhans. Frank E. WELCHHANS, 81, died Thursday morning at this home near Richland. He was born August 24, 1869, in Topeka and had been a resident of the Richland community 80 years. His father, Jacob Welchhans, was a representative to the Kansas legislature in 1874. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Maggie Welchhans; three daughters, Mrs. Blanche Lovelle, Mrs. Helen Smith and Mrs. Delores Miller, all of Topeka; three sons, Ralph Welchhans, Topeka; John Welchhans, Richland, and Vernon Welchhans, Los Angeles, Calif., eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
