The Topeka Daily Capital Friday January 12, 1952 Melvin G. Bigham. Melvin G. BIGHAM, 83, of 1221 North Madison, died Thursday in a Topeka hospital. He was born April 19, 1867, near Holden, Mo., and settled in Jefferson County near Ozawkie when he was two years old. He was a well known farmer and stockman for many years specialized in raising dairy cattle and thoroughbred horses. He had made his home in North Topeka three years. He resided in Wamego a short time and in the Shorey communtiy 13 years. He was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Emma Bigham, two sons, Fred Bigham, Bremerton, Wash., and Charles Bigham, Grantville; two brothers, M.M. Bigham, Denver, Colo., and J.P. Bigham, Milford, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
