    3. The Topeka Daily Capital Thursday March 2, 1961 Mrs. Lola Brice. Services will be announced for Mrs. Lola BRICE, 1710 Fillmore, a resident of Topeka since 1900, who died Wednesday in a local hospital. Born at Greenwood, S.C., she was a member of the St. John AME Church. Friends may call at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William D. QUEENRY, 1407 Tyler. Her widower, reported to have been the first Negro in Kansas to enlist for service in World War I, is employed at city hall. Other survivors include a son, Clayton F. Brice, 1216 Lime; two brothers, Columbus Hagan, 1933 Fillmore, and Augustus Hagan, 220 Lime; four sisters, Mrs. Lillilan Queery, 1407 Tyler; Mrs. Jessie Moss, 1839 Fillmore, and Mrs. Elizabeth Smith and Miss Leona Hagan, both of Kansas City, and several nieces and nephews. Bowser Mortuary is in charge.
