The funeral of Earl Lee CALKINS of Harveyville, who died at the age of 64 Wednesday in a Topeka hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Harveyville Methodist Church with burial in Burlingame Cemetery. Mr. Calkins was born December 28, 1887 in Mount Enta, Iowa and lived on a farm northeast of Harveyville many years. He was a member of the Harveyville Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge and Fairply Grange. He is survived by three sons, Lawrence Calkins, with the Air Force in Germany; Earl Calkins Jr. of Wichita; and Terrance Calkins of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Ann Butler, Shoshoni, Wyo.; his father C.C. Calkins, Burlingame; five brothers, W.N. and Dennis Calkins, El Dorado; George W. Calkins, South Gate, Calif.; Carroll Calkins, Las Vegas, Nev., and Donald Calkins, Burlingame; and as sister, Mrs. Cecil Minor, Burlingame.
