The Topeka Daily Capital Saturday April 1, 1961 Axel C. Nyberg. Services for Axel C. NYBERG,72, of Manhattan, were Friday in Manhattan with burial in Sunset Cemetery. he died Tuesday at home. Born Sept. 24, 1888, in Riley County, he was employed by a construction company many years. He was a member of the Walsburg Lutheran Church and the Eagles Lodge, at Manhattan. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Eva Nyberg at home; a son, Axtel J. Nyberg, 205 Taylor; a daughter, Mrs. Betty Smith of Manhattan; two stepsons, Kenneth Martin of Long Beach, Calif., and Lyman Martin of Manhattan; and two sisters, Mrs. Roy Wilson and Mrs. John Smith, both of Manhattan. The Burliew-Cowan Funeral Home of Manhattan was in charge.
