Seely HERRICK, 76, father of Arthur Herrick, state alcoholic beverage control director, died Thursday in Kansas City after an illness of several weeks. He was born in New Jersey and made his home in Fort Scott and Topeka before moving to Kansas City in 1897. He retired 11 years ago after serving as a Santa Fe locomotive engineer 46 years. Besides his son, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. howard L. Settle, Kansas City, Kan.; two brothers, Charles H. Herrick, Wichita, and Thomas E. Herrick, Oklahoma City, Okla., four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
