Services for Earl Taylor PLATT, 77, 814 High, will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, with burial in the Mount Hope Cemetery. Mr. Platt, who died unexpectedly Wednesday at his home while doing yardwork, was born May 31, 1888, at Kansas City, Kan. He had lived in Topeka since 1908. He retired in 1958 after 33 years in the Freight Traffic Dept. of the Santa Fe Railway. He was a member of Central Church of Christ, Topeka, and Reno Lodge, AF&AM, Huchinson. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ina Platt, of the home; a son, Ray Platt, Hutchinson; three daughters, Mrs. Carl WILLIAMS, 4201 Burlingame Raod, Mrs. Beverly COLEHOUR, Tecumseh, and Mrs. Al KOPIECK, Chicago; and nine grandchildren.
