The Topeka Daily Capital Thursday August 24, 1961 Mary J. Waltz, Topeka, Is Dead. Mrs. Mary J. (Mayme) WALTZ, 1243 Mulvane, died Wednesday in a Topeka hospital. The oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Archie M. BAIRD, she was born at Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The family moved to Topeka when she was a child. Her first husband was Isaac S. SHEETZ. To this union was born a daughter, Mrs. Jack BLEAN, 1243 Mulvane. After the death of Mr. Sheetz, Mrs. Sheetz married Charles A. WALTZ, who also preceded her in death. She was a member of the Assumption Catholic Church. Besides Mrs. Blean, survivors include a grandson, James Blean of the home; a granddaughter, Mrs. Eddwin MARTIN, and a great-granddaughter, Janet Sue Martin, both of 1185 Fillmore; a sister, Mrs. A.V. SCHULER, 1029 Harrison. Services will be at 9 a.m. Friday in the Assumption Catholic Church. Mrs. Waltz will lie in state at the Brennan Funeral Home from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. today. Parish rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
