The Topeka Daily Capital Thursday August 24, 1961 D.E. Elliott, Retired Mail Carrier, Dies. A resident of Topeka more than 40 years, Delbert E. ELLIOTT, 61, 2115 N. Lane, died at his home Wednesday following an extended illness. He was born July 9, 1900 at Valencia, Kan., and retired as a mail carrier about four years ago. He was a member of the Orient Lodge No. 51, AF&AM; and a member of Scottish Rite bodies. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Danzel Elliott at home; two sons, Lloyd Elliott, 129 Van Buren, and Sgt. Delbert G. Elliott with the U.S. Marines; two daughters, Mrs. Joy NEISWANDER of South Gate, Calif., and Mrs. Patirica MUNSON, of Massena, N.Y.; five grandchildren; a brother, Otto Elliott of Pratt; and two sisters, Mrs. Ethel SHIDELER, 828 Washburn, and Mrs. Mary ARB of Melvern. Burial will be in Topeka Cemetery. The Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
