The Topeka Daily Capital Monday November 1, 1965 Rev. Budreau, Effingham, Dies. Atchison.--Requiem mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Benedict's Catholic Church here for the Rev. Joseph A. BUDREAU, 89, Effingham, who died Friday at a Topeka hospital. He was born March 5, 1876 in Kankakee County, Ill. He was ordained to the Catholic priesthood April 2, 1907 at Immaculate Conception Cathedral at Leavenworth. He served Catholic parishes at Leavenworth, Tonganoxie, Nortonville, Axtell, Horton and St. Patrick's Catholic parish in Wyandotte County. He retired July 1, 1953. A sister Mrs. Louise POUTON, Borubonnais, Ill., survives. Office of the Dead will be recited at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Benedict's Church at Atchison. Burial will be in St. George's parish cemetery in Bourbonnais, Ill. The Rev. Fr. Budreau will lie in state from 4 to 9 p.m. today at St. Ann's Catholic Church at Effingham where rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today.
