The Topeka Daily Capital Thursday August 31, 1961 Alfred Magnuson. Osage City.--Alfred MAGNUSON, 77, a retired farmer, died Tuesday at his home here. Born Feb. 14, 1884, in Skene, Sweden, he came to the United States 58 years ago, settling in the Osage City community. He was a member of the Christian Church and the Grange. Survivors include the widow, Alma, of the home; a son, Herbert, of Osage City; a daughter, Mrs. Josephine HEDBERG of Rt. 1, Reading; five grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Anna LINDALH; and a brother, August NISSON, both of Sweden. Services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the Mission Convenant Church of Osage City, with burial in Osage City Cemetery. W.L. McElfresh Funeral Home of Osage City is in charge.
