The Topeka Daily capital Thursday August 31, 1961 Mrs. Mabel Brown Is Dead at Age 77. Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in the Dover Federated Church for Mrs. Mabel BROWN, 77, of Route 9, who died at her home Wednesday. Burial will be in the Auburn Cemetery. She was born near Auburn May 12, 1884, and lived in the Auburn and Dover communites all her life. She was a member of the Dover Federated Church. Surviving are her widower, George Brown, at home; a son, Paul Brown, of Harveyville; a daughter, Mrs. Lydia STOWE, Route 9; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers, Maurice MORAN, Route 9, Silas Moran of Eskridge and Robert Moran of Harveyville; and six sisters, Mrs. Mina ROBINSON, Route 9, Mrs. Bertha STOCK of Bakersfield, Calif., Mrs. Edith LOGAN of Dover, Mrs. Lula THOMAS, Route 9, Mrs. Nellie SLUSSER, 1221 W. 10th, and MRs. Mary SAGE, Route 7. The Austin Funeral Home of Eskridge is in charge of arrangements.
