The Topeka Daily Capital Monday April 3, 1961 Local Woman Is Dead at 65; Rites Tuesday. Mrs. Blanche B. OSTRANDER, 65, of 416 W. Fairchild, died Sunday in a Topeka hospital after a short illness. She was a life-time resident of Shawnee County. Born July 20, 1895, near Elmont, she was a member of the Kansas Avenue Methodist Chruch and the WSCS of the church. Surviving are her widower, Edward Ostrander at home; two daughters, Mrs. Thelma Lester of Onaga and Mrs. Marie Rogers, Route 2; nine sons, John Ostrander, 915 W. 5th, Donald Ostrander, 3333 Plass, Everett Ostrander, 2019 N. Kansas, William Ostrander, Route 2, Eldon Ostrander, 1921 Michigan, Charles Ostrander, 1310 Kellam, Eugene Ostrander, 3305 Ohio, Lloyd Ostrander, 720 Liberty and Ivan Ostrander, at home; three sisters, Mrs. Hazel Hankamer, 3535 Huntoon, Mrs. Alice B. Beouy of Elmont and Mrs. Garnett English of Kansas City, Kan.; two brothers, Chester Jackson, 2834 Iowa and Ray Jackson of Norfolk, Va.; 21 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Kansas Avenue Methodist Church with burial in Half Day Cemetery at Elmont. The body will be the Davidson-Eslinger-Duff Funeral Home until 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.
