The Topeka Daily Capital Sunday July 16, 1939 Mrs. Clara E. Brown. Mrs. Clara E. BROWN, 83, died Saturday at the Methodist Home for the Aged. She was born in St. Paul, Minn., September 4, 1855. She was married to Charles F. Brown in 1875; Mr. Brown died in 1904. She lived at the home of J.J. Schenck, 1206 West Sixth Street, for many years.Since 1933, she had made her home at the Methodist Home. Mrs. Brown was a member of the Potwin Presbyterian Church and of the Eastern Star. Among the nieces, nephews, and cousins, who survive is Mrs. W.E. Atchison, Topeka. Funeral services will be at the Penwell Funeral Home at 4 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Topeka Cemetery.
