The Topeka Daily Capital Monday October 3, 1960 Dr. E. Burton, Dentist, Dies; Services Set. Dr. Edgar L. Burton, 83, of 1177 Garfield, a long-time Topeka dentist, did Sunday morning while visiting his daughter in Lincoln, Kan. Born Jan. 24, 1877, he was a graduate of the Kansas City Dental College. He practiced in Osage City, Burlingame and Topeka for more than 50 years. He retired in 1959. He had his Topeka office in the National Revserve Building. He was a member of the Lowman Memorial Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge No. 17, the Shawnee County Dental Society and was a past patron of Helena Chapter No 210, Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include his daughter, Mrs. Helen Walters of Lincoln; three grandchildren; one brother, Dick Burton of Hopeville, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Cain of Fredonia and Mrs. Josephine Carey of South St. Gabriel, Calif. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Wall-Diffenderfer Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
