The Topeka Daily Capital Tuesday February 8, 1916 Falls Dead on Topeka Sidewalk A.J. Trapp, Valley Falls Farmer, Is Stricken With Apoplexy While Walking Up Kansas Avenue. A.J. TRAPP, a Valley Falls, Kan., farmer was stricken with apoplexy and fell to the sidwalk in front of the Tully-McFarland drug store at Ninth and Kansas avenue yesterday morning. He was carried into the store, and died within a few minutes in spite of efforts to save his life. Letters in Mr. Trapp's pockets revealed his identity. Dr. W.S. Hunter, who was in the drug store at the time, said that Mr. Trapp was dying as he fell, and the fall probably did not contribute to his death. His condition indicated that a blood vessel at the base of the brain had been ruptured. Dr. Merril Lindsay agreed with Doctor Hunter. Mr. Trapp was about 54 years old. Five children survive him. As soon as his relatives had been notified by the Shellabarger undertaking parlors, where the body was taken, they said they would come to Topeka to take the body home for burial. Mr. Trapp was an uncle of H.J. Neiswinter, 265 WInfield, in Oakland.
