The Topeka Daily Capital Wednesday March 26, 1958 Mrs. Annie L. Stewart. Mrs. Annie L. STEWART, 100, the oldest resident of St. Marys died Tuesday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Ina Evans, St. Marys. Mrs. Stewart, who would have been 101 April 18, was born in Belmont County, Ohio. She was married to George R. Stewart on December 25, 1876. They lived in Wheeling, W. Va., until 1884 when they moved to a farm north of St. Marys. Mr. Stewart died February 12, 1925. Mrs. Stewart's 100th birthday celebration was held at an open house at the home of her daughter, mrs. Rosa JOHNSON, Topeka. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Ethel Husted, Salina; Mrs. Lida STEPHENSON, Hutchinson, Mrs. Ina Evans and Mrs. Rosa Johnson; two sons, Albert, Hutchinson, and James, Boise, Idaho; 20 grandchildren and may great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Marys Methodist Church with Rev. Paul Kapp in charge. Burial will be in the Valley View Cemetery, St. Marys. The body will lie in state at the Verschelden Funeral Home, St. Marys, from this evening until the time of service.
