The Topeka Daily Capital Sunday June 11, 1939 George W. Pheobald. George William PHEOBALD, 62, died Saturday at his apartment in B. Dormitory at the Security Benefit Association Farm and Home. He was born January 20, 1877, in Pike County, Ohio, and came to Coffey County, Kansas, with his parents at the age of three. He had been a resident of Topeka since 1924. he had been an employe of the S.B.A. for the past eleven years. Mr. Pheobald is surved by his widow, Maud Pheobold, of the home; one son, W. Dorman Pheobald, of Topeka; two sisters, Mrs. Cora Cummin, of Strawn, Kan., and Mrs. Addie Fitch, of Burlington, Kan.; two brothers, Elmer Pheobald, of Burlington, Kan., and Hayward Pheobald, of Strawn, Kan., and two grandchildren. Funeral announcements will be made later. Burial will be at Strawn.
