The Topeka Daily Capital Monday April 3, 1961 Harold Collins Rites Tuesday. Services for Harold R. COLLINS, 14, of 211 W. 21st, who was accidentally shot Saturday, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Penwell-Gabel Chapel with burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery. The boy died when a .22 caliber rifle discharged at a friend's home. He was born in Concordia Nov. 7, 1946, and lived in Topeka nine years. He attended Quinton Heights grade school and was a 9th grader at Crane Junior High School. The boy was a member of Explorer Scouts Post No. 4 of the Baptist Church. Surviving are his parents, Mr.and Mrs. Francis N. Collins of the home; a sister, Colene Collins fo the hom; and his grandmothers, Mrs. May Wells of Lynn, and Mrs. Fred Collins of 113 W. 17th.
