    3. The Topeka Daily Capital Saturday January 5, 1952 Miss Helen E. Olson, KSES Counselor, Dies. Miss Helen E. OLSON, 1025 Lane, died Thursday night in a Topeka hospital. Miss Olson was born in Topeka and spent most of her life here. She was a graduate of Kansas University and had a masters degree from Columbia University. For 10 years she worked in New York City as Girls' Reserve director of the YWCA. She also was engaged in Girls' Reserve work in Denver, Col.; Sheridan, Wyo.; Wichita and Kansas City, Kan. She was vocational counselor for the state employment service at Wichita, Kansas City, Kan. and at the state office in Topeka. She was a member of the First Methodist Church, Beulah Chapter No. 34, OES, Toltec Rite and was a past president of the Alrusa Club. Surviving are a sister, Miss Mabel M. Olson of the home; a brother, Norris A. Olson, Topeka, and a niece, Marimae Olson, Topeka. The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home with burial in Topeka Cemetery.
