The Topeka Daily Capital Monday July 31, 1961 Roy H. Berry. Roy H. BERRY, 59, of 1352 College, a retired grocer, formerly of Downs, died at his home Sunday morning. He had been ill for more than a year. Born at Downs, Jan. 24, 1902, he had lived there until May, 1959 when he moved to Topeka. He was a member of the First Methodist Chruch at Downs. He leaves his widow, Mrs. Anna Berry of the home; three sons, Kenneth Berry of the home, Daryl Berry of 5620 W. 17th, Terr., and Lyle Berry of Hebron, Neb.; one daughter, Mrs. Pearl June CROSS of Dodge City; also 10 grandchildren. Friends may call at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home today until 9 p.m. The funeral service will be at the Methodist church at Downs at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in the Downs Cemetery.
