    3. The Topeka Daily Capital Wednesday January 17, 1951 Mrs. Loretta Conroy. Mrs. Loretta CONROY, 101, long-time resident of Kansas and a former Topekan, died Tuesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J.A. SHIRLEY, in St. Louis, Mo. Mrs. Conroy was born March 6, 1849, in Lebanon, Ohio, and came to Kansas from Illinois in a covered wagon in 1876. She settled in McPherson County and moved to Nortonville in 1895. She lived in Topeka with Mrs. Shirley before they moved to St. Louis about 20 years ago. Despite her advanced age, she was in good health until Thanksgiving Day. She is survived by two son, W. D. Conroy, of Topeka, and Elmer Conroy, of Severance, Kan.; two daughters, Mrs. Lula NEILL, of Farmington, Kan.; and Mrs. SHIRLEY, of St. Louis; nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Nortonville Christian Church with interment in Nortonville Cemetery.
