The Topeka Daily Capital Saturday March 29, 1958 Fred Steinmeyer. Fred STEINMEYER, 89, a life-long resident of Alma, died Friday after an illness of two years. He was the father of Herb Steinmeyer, 1184 Webster. Other survivors are his widow, Anna, of the home; four other sons, Elmer Steinmeyer of Omaha; Arnold Steinmeyer of Alma, Harold Steinmeyer of Kansas City, Mo.; and Erwin Steinmeyer of Rolling Hills, Calif.; two brothers, Dr. J.A. Steinmeyer, 1269 Clay and Henry Steinmeyer, Highland Park; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. A daughter died in 1947. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. John's Lutheran Church at Alma. Burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery, with the Hasenbank and LaMar Funeral Home in charge.
