    3. The Topeka Daily Capital Tuesday January 16, 1951 George A. Frisbie. George A. FRISBIE, 86, widely known Jefferson County farmer and stockman died Monday at his home north of Grantville. Mr. Frisbie was born December 24, 1864, in Battle Creek, Mic., and came to Kansas in 1873. After living in Lawrence one year, he moved to his present farm near Grantville. He had made his home on the same farm continually since. He was active in his farm work until the last few weeks of his life. He served as county treasurer of Jefferson County four years and did assessment work in his community several years. He also was purchasing agent for the right of way department of the Kansas Highway Commission four years. He was a member of the Oskaloosa Masonic Lodge and the Roayl Arch Masons of Oskaloosa. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Julia Frisbie, Kansas City, Kan.; and Mrs. Roy E. LINDLEY, of the home; a son, Herbert L. Frisbie, Grantville, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
