    3. The Topeka Daily Capital Friday October 7, 1960 M.V. Jessup, 86, Dies; Rites Set Saturday. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home for Mellville Virgil JESSUP, 86, 225 No. Roosevelt, who died Thursday at a Topeka hospital after a short illness. Born Dec. 31, 1873, at Otterville, Mo., he lived at Pawnee, Okla., before moving to Topeka in 1907. He was in the water service department of the Rock Island Railroad many years and later for 22 years with the Gas Service Co. in Topeka. He retired in 1946. He was a member of the Woodmen of the World at Omaha, Neb. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Rilla HAEGERT, 2240 W. 8th, and Mrs. Eva SNOW, 225 N. Roosevelt; two grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Elsie ODEN of Sulphur, L., Mrs. Clyde McKEITHEN of Fort Worth, Tex., and Mrs. Ivan SEGER of Hollywood, Calif. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
