The Topeka Daily Capital Wednesday October 3, 1951 Jacob Knapp. Jacob (Jake) KNAPP, 74, of Holton, died Tuesday at his home after a long illness. He was born in Dagersiacht, Wurtonburg, Germany, on August 8, 1877. He was married May 6, 1903, to Sophia Schirmer, who survives. He is also survived by three daughters, Mrs. A.J. Faust, Miss Dorothy Knapp and Miss Marjorie Knapp; and two grandchildren, Arland and Gerald Faust. The grandsons had lived with Mr. Knapp. Their parents are missionaries in Africa. Mr. Knapp came to the United States when he was seven years old and had lived in Holton for 30 years. He was a retired farmer and had worked on state highways for six years. He was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church and was a charter member of the Men's Bible Class. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Holton EUB Chruch. Burial will be in Holton Cemetery. His body will lie in state at Padden Funeral Home.
