    3. The Topeka Daily Capital Friday June 2, 1939 (Note: Obituary uses Harry Mark Ives, and Harry Marks Ives.) Harry Mark Ives, Veteran Printer, Dead. Harry Marks IVES, 82, veteran Topeka printer, died Thursday at his home, 1349 Fillmore Street. Ives opened the H.M. Ives Print shop here in 1904. He was born November 4, 1856, in Lee County, Iowa. He attended Iowa State College at Ames, Iowa, came to Topeka fifty-eight years ago and was a printer in several shops before opening his own. He was past president of Topeka Typographical Union and was at one time active in its affairs and a member of the Washburn Golf Club. His first shop was located at 603 Jackson Street, but for several years he had been at 415 Kansas Avenue. Surviving are two sons, Nelson and Earl IVES, of Topeka; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. J.W. HOLMES of Sacramento, Calif. The body was taken to the Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary pending funeral arrangements.
