The Topeka Daily Capital Monday October 1, 1951 Mrs. Martha Cunning. Mrs. Martha Ellen CUNNING, 88, resident of Kansas 84 years, died Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ray BROOKS, northeast of Meriden. She was born December 9, 1862, in Wheeling, W.Va. and came to Kansas with her parents when she was four years old and settled in the Big Springs community. She had made her home in Meriden and vicinity since 1882. She was a member of the Evangelical-United Brethren Church at Meriden. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Lillie COLLIER, Mrs. Paul DELLINGER and Mrs. BROOKS, all of Meriden; two sons, Roy and Ernest CUNNING, both of Meriden, 15 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Meriden Evangelical-United Brethren Chruch with burial in Meriden Cemetery.
