The Topeka Daily Capital Tuesday January 25, 1916 Miss Mary A. HOOD, one of the early settlers of Kansas, died early yesterday morning at the home of her nephew, Dr. William GARRETT, 625 Garfield avenue. She was well known here as a nurse and was a member of the Episcopal church for many years. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. John McCOMB, of this city. The body will lie in state from 10 o'clock this morning until noon at residence of her nephew. The funeral will be held this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Grace cathedral. Burial will be in Topeka cemetery.
