The Topeka Daily Capital Sunday August 20, 1961 Samuel Landis. Services for Samuel Adam LANDIS, 84, Route 6, will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Parker Mortuary with burial in Prairie Home Cemetery. He died Saturday in a local hospital. Mr Landis was born Nov. 22, 1876 in Pennsylvania and came to Kansas with his parents in 1878. He lived on the same farm one-half miles east of Kiro since then. His wife preceded him in death in 1945. He wa a member of the North Topeka Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Samuel D. of Route 6, and Harry M. of 800 W. 1st; two daughters, Mrs. Edna RIGEL of Barnes, and Miss Ruth Landis, 501 Lincoln; three sisters, Mrs. Lucy RUSH of Wichita, Mrs. Sadie LOCKHART, of Osborn, and Miss Clara E. Landis of Route 6, and eight grandchildren and two great-greandchildren.
