    3. The Topeka Daily Capital Thursday December 29, 1960 Charles Elkins. Charles ELKINS, 81, 717 Forrest, died following a heart attack at his home Wednesday. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., July 15, 1879, and moved to Clyde with his parents when he was two years old. He lived here 60 years. He was employed by the Acme Paint Co., 30 years, was a member of the Kansas Avenue Methodist Church and Golden Rule Lodge No. 90 AF&AM. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Edna I. Elkins, of the home; one son, Carl H. Elkins, 1625 W. 21st.; three daughters, Mrs. John J. ANWEILER, 901 Strait, Mrs. Lloyd HOLDEN, 510 Holview, and Miss Enda E. ELKINS, of the home; two stepsons, Tom ROETHER, 1715 Belvoir Court, and Frank Roether, 1824 E. 21st; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Service will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the Parker Mortuary with burial in Rochester Cemetery. Graveside services will be conducted by the Golden Rule Lodge, No. 90.
