The Topeka Daily Capital Saturday January 1, 1966 Velma E. Richards Is Dead at Age 62. Mrs. Velma E. RICHARDS, 62, 1729 Green Acres, died Friday in a Topeka hospital afer a long illness. Born Sept. 21, 1903, at Eskridge, she lived there until moving to Topeka in 1945. She was a member of the Westside Christian Church. Survivors include her husband, Ralph Richards, of the home; a son, Vivian, 1015 E. 21st; two daughters, Mrs. Verlene WOOD of the home, and Mrs. Verna PETERS, 1821 Washington; and two grandsons. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday at the Wall-Diffenderfer Chapel. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. The family asks that memorial contributions go to the Shawnee County chapter of the American Cancer Society.
