Lawrence.--Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bowser-Lee Mortuary here for Joseph THORNTON, 81, Lawrence, who died Saturday at a rest home here. He was born Dec. 25, 1884 in Douglas County and spent most of his life in the Lawrence community. Several nieces, nephews and cousins survive. Burial will be in Clinton Cemetery in Douglas County. Mr. Thornton will lie in state from 4 to 9 a.m. today at the mortuary.
