The Topeka Daily Capital Monday December 19, 1960 Rolla T. Fry Is Dead At 56; Rites Pending. Rolla Theran FRY, urban traffic engineer for the Kansas State Highway Commission, died Sunday following an extended illness. He had been employed by the highway department for 27 years. Fry, 56, lived at 2005 W. 2nd. He was born Dec. 3, 1904, at Pawnee Rock, and had been a Topeka resident for the past 24 years. He attended Sterling College and was graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in civil engineering. He was a member of the Topeka Engineers Club, Kansas Engineering Society, Saturday Night Literary Club, Topeka Toastmaster Club, Topeka Tennis Club, Siloam Lodge 225 AF&AM, and Sigma Nu fraternity. He attended Potwin Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his widow, Veva, of the home; two sons, T. Jan Fray, 1909 W. 6th, Lynn G. Fry, Orlando, Fla.; a brother, Fred Fry and a sister, Mrs. Ina McMILLAN, both of Pawnee Rock; and his mother, Mrs. R.M. Fry, Larned. Arrangements will be announced by the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home.
